I started this substack-blog month ago with this idea: to give an update about internet-life in Germany on a regular basis. I called it Digital Viral Germany - what I found funny because DVG are also the first letters of my name and have been my network abbreviation for years. It all went pretty well - except for the aspect of regularity.
But this week things changed: I published my first note on Substack Notes and gave the Digital Viral Germany a new start.
Perhaps it is a fitting coincidence that this very week I discovered that Germany's public broadcaster has launched a Mastodon instance. I have written about it here (in German) and if it develops to become internationally significant, I will also write about it in English.
